As the liberals seek to bring equality to the world by pulling everybody down to the lowest common denominator of living, one must wonder how much harm they are doing to society. They have already convinced many individuals that proper English is evil , compelling many of our youth to use a form of English far inferior to Spanglish . Some of you might be proud of that, claiming that proper behavior is an evil practice of the bourgeois, but is formality, etiquette, and properness really that ba...

I want to convert to a lifestyle entirely of Macs, which is why I immediately jumped when I heard that I'd be able to get a PowerMac. However, there are a few problems: 1) the PowerMac is an old G3 model (you could tell it's old as it still has it still has room for a floppy disk), and 2) I'd have to give my 2.2Ghz P4 to my brother since I wouldn't want to have two desktop PCs as that would just be weird. I'm really not sure how much power a G3 PowerMac has, but checking out some of the mod...

The recent discussions about whether or not homosexuals should be allowed to marry have sparked many to claim that refusing homosexuals the right to wed is equivalent to the segregation laws that took place in the South. After some thought, I realized that segregation still does exist in our world. There are many ways in which segregation still strangles our society, and if we truly want to end this Jim Crow mentality, then we should abolish this behavior that "separate but equal" is all right. ...

All this talk about hypothetical marriages (i.e. man and ape, man and child, etc.) has me wondering if marriage as it stands today is ethical. The criticism against the idea of a man and ape/child getting married is simple: the ape/child does not have the mental capacity to make such a decision. However, one might be shocked to learn that it is legal today for individuals to marry those without the mental capacity to make a knowledgeable decision concerning marriage. Although they are adults, so...

Although I really don't pay attention to business, I have heard much criticism aimed at Wal-Mart recently, which is why this article on Fortune.com about America's most admired companies interested me. Not only did Wal-Mart make the top ten, but it received first place! Each company received for eight attributes, and although Wal-Mart didn't score too high on Social responsibility , nor did it score too low (5.78, which is far above the bottom of the barrel, and although would still be failing,...

Has the world been invaded by Bizarro, Superman's wacky doppelganger? I know that it's taboo to criticize other people's beliefs, but it seems as though some believe that what was bad is good and what was good is bad. The following are a few examples of the wackiest beliefs: Poverty indicates a strong work ethic. Proper spelling and grammar are bad. The government should do everything for us, except protect us. Criminals are the real victims. Killing criminals is evil but...

We are a heterosexist society, which depending on who you are, might be a good or bad thing. Besides marriage, there are many other areas of society that advocates of gay marriage might want to check out if they're seeking to end discrimination against homosexuals. For example, in our schools, there are homecoming parades, with a homecoming king and a homecoming queen. What about the possibility of a homecoming king and a homecoming king, or a homecoming queen and a homecoming queen (or for an...

Mayor Newsom of San Francisco has issued marriage licenses to gay couples, despite the fact that the people of California voted against same sex marriages in by voting for a proposition not too long ago that defined marriage as union between a man and a woman. Although it's not sure what will happen, it is clear that this mayor (and the gay couples who were married) has little respect for the law and the people of California, and because they chose to defy both the public as well as the law, I...

I've never seen The Apprentice , but I've seen commercials of it, and now that I've read this article on Slate , it is clear to me that the commercials didn't even show a fraction of the slutty ways of the female competitors. If this was American Idol, where people are judged by sex appeal (everybody knows that if Ruben were a woman, his fat ass would never have even been allowed inside the building), but it isn't, which is why the female competitors, who rely solely on what they've learned f...

I didn't intend to surf the Internet today, but I spotted an article in Saturday's local newspaper, The Modesto Bee , that really irked me. Madison Hatton, 9, was collecting cans to pay the $100 needed to participate in the American Cancer Society's annual Relay for Life. Although she could have went door-to-door asking for donations, she thought it was better to raise the money on her own, which is honorable, considering that men decades older beg shamelessly for other people's money . Sadly,...

I'm bored. I no longer yearn to save Hyrule from Ganondorf nor do I long to defeat the aliens on HALO. I yawn at the idea of becoming the greatest skater in the cul-de-sac and I have no interest in saving the Mushroom Kingdom from Mother Brain. The idea of heroism, even in its most antiheroic variant, has become a tiresome cliché. Even embracing the side of villainy has been overdone past its expiration date. That is why I think the gaming industry should abandon its stigma toward adult gaming. ...

Not that I don't expect to lose some points, but does anybody else find it odd that in less than a day, I went from a score of around 2000 that placed me at a rank of around thirty to a score of -661, which does seem rather weird to me. I'm publicizing this because I do want to know if it's the work of a few individuals (which does seem likely as, unless I'm mistaken about the point system, sixteen people would have to rate down all my comments for me to lose over 2600 points) or indicative of...

(I understand that a minute selection of Open Source software is decent, but that software is made by bloodthirsty corporations who are either desperate to stay alive or seeking to benefit from those few programmers that are actually skilled without having to pay them.) Supporters of Open Source software often claim that Open Source software is better than commercial software because despite its obvious inferiority, it's made by selfless individuals who only want to help the world. Well, it t...

(The following will be told with a liberal bias because I feel that these people who consider spanking "child abuse" are taking their liberalism much too far, although I guess centuries of individuals being spanked (with thorny twigs) without irreparable damage and not being scarred for life might not be evidence of that.) Evil Canada has implemented fascism into the home once again in its attempt to destroy the protection children have from physical punishment by permitting fascist parents t...

There is a child out there who is undoubtedly the stupidest person ever to exist . He received a Power Mac G5 for Christmas, but decided that it would be prudent to rip out the G5 parts and replace them with a Dell. Considering that the cheapest G5 is $1,800, and that Dells can be bought for around $500, I think what he did is absolutely disgusting. Even if you hate Apple, I'm sure you'll agree that what he did was utterly retarded . Hopefully, his parents will beat him when they find out of...
