I apologize for meta-blogging (blogging about blogging), because I hate it, but this is one of the few times it's appropriate.
As many of you probably don't know, I started another semester of college. I'm finally taking "serious" courses. One of those "serious" courses is American Politics. I originally registered for the course that took place on Friday nights, but because of my trip to New York and future events, I had to drop it and find another course to take. The online course was open, so I registered for that. I don't usually like online courses, because the books are much more expensive and the work is much more boring, but after reading the syllabus, I already know this class will be mcuh different! Not only were the books much cheaper, costing a total of forty dollars, but there'll be online political discussions that will undoubtedly be interesting! I'm required not only to respond to political threads started by classmates, but also to start some of my own. This is where JoeUser.com comes in...
I've determined to trim the fat from my life. Besides ridding myself of the PC and of video games, I also need to stop wasting time on the Internet. The political discussions on here are fun and interesting, but they tend to distract me from my real goals, so I'd have to begrudgingly cut this site from my life. However, thanks to the online course, I actually have an excuse to stay! I need to remain knowledgeable in the political arena, and to do that, I'd either have to do research, read the newspaper, or participate on political forums. I'm the biggest opponent of researching ever to exist, and I'm obviously not going to read the newspaper. Instead, this site will provide me with the information I need to fulfill my participation requirement in the course!
Now my fight with liberals is not only fun, but productive! Thanks, WebCT!
