Here's my novel idea for the sequel to Osmosis Jones...

Osmosis Jones 2: Self-Destruction

This movie takes place one year after the first. Shortly after Frank Detomello (Bill Murray) returns from his vacation in Haiti, the inhabitants of the City of Frank notice a peculiar behavior in their protectors, the white blood cells, who have taken to demolishing the very city they vowed to serve.

Osmosis Jones (Chris Rock), one of the few unaffected white blood cells, and Drix (David Hyde Pierce), his cold tablet partner, track the source of the havoc to an unassuming bathhouse. There they confront the mastermind behind the chaos: an effeminate virus named HIV (Alan Cummings). However, HIV isn't alone. The duo is ambushed by hundreds of afflicted white blood cells. With their combined strength, they easily defeat the mob, but they quickly learn they are no match for HIV when he easily pummels them. Unable to defeat the virus, Drix throws Osmosis out the bathhouse and self-destructs in a desperate attempt to destroy it. The bathhouse and everything within it are vaporized, but Osmosis quickly learns that HIV survived the explosion, and rushes back to headquarters to gather reinforcements.

Osmosis soon learns though that he and all other white blood cells are now wanted, dead or alive, and only with the help of Leah (Brandy Norwood), the Mayor's sympathetic assistant, is he able to escape from the bloodthirsty mobs. Hiding out at Leah's place, he breaks down over the loss of his partner and his inability to save the city, which, without Immunity to protect it, is now vulnerable to even the lowliest germ. Leah offers her condolences and persuades Osmosis not to give up. After the sex scene, a montage shows Osmosis rigorously train to become a stronger white blood cell as the city crumbles into nothingness. Meanwhile, in the real world, Shane (Elena Franklin), Frank's daughter, remains at her father's side in the hospital.

Ready to save the city, Osmosis rushes to HIV's new headquarters: the city's rest stop. Millions of infected white blood cells charge Osmosis, but he easily dispatches them. HIV panics and tries to flee, but his escape is quickly interrupted by Osmosis, who spends the next five minutes beating the cell out of him.

Osmosis prepares to inflict the death blow, but is disrupted when he notices a gang of germs taking Leah as hostage. He swiftly annihilates them, but in the short time it took Osmosis to kill the germs, HIV was able to complete the final part of his transformation. HIV transforms into Full-Blown AIDS. Twice the size with ten times the strength, Full-Blown AIDS is now a match for Osmosis. They war throughout the entire city, causing massive damage and casualties, and Osmosis realizes if he does not find a way to defeat Full-Blown AIDS quickly, Frank will die. Remembering the death of Drix, he fights with renewed vigor and again has AIDS at a disadvantage. Meanwhile, the doctors are in awe of Frank's will to live, which has single-handedly kept him alive.

Desperate to defeat the powerful white blood cell, AIDS beckons the germs of the City of Frank to lend him their hatred for Osmosis. He raises his hands and a ball of collective germ forms that's as large as a skyscraper. He grins at a petrified Osmosis, and says, "Taste the hateful power of gayness! AIDS Death Ball!" and throws the gigantic mass of germs at him. Osmosis tries to repel the AIDS Death Ball, but it much too large and he ends up inside it. "Rot in hell," AIDS says, "inside my mass of germs!"

The collective germ overwhelms Osmosis, but he will not submit to the pain. Remembering all the people depending on his victory, he gathers all the strength in his entire body and pushes the AIDS Death Ball outside the City of Frank. In the real world, Frank dispels a gigantic hairball-like mass of phlegm.

The frustrated AIDS curses Osmosis. Osmosis wipes the germs off and leaps toward AIDS. His fist pierces right through AIDS' torso. AIDS collapses to the ground struggling for a breath. "Playtime is over," Osmosis says and gathers a ball of pure plasma even larger than the AIDS ball. He hurls the ball at AIDS and it pulverizes the evil virus down to basic atoms. Frank is now recovering from the deadly virus and the City of Frank, although in ruins, is now safe. Frank's teary-eyed daughter leaps onto him and hugs him tightly.

Osmosis awakes a week later in a hospital to find Leah by his side. Mayor Phlegmming rewards Osmosis with the most prominent award he could give. Osmosis and Leah embrace.

The epilogue shows Frank a year later. His doctors are amazed at how since his battle with his AIDS, he has not been sick once. Meanwhile, in the City of Frank, millions of mini-Osmosises now comprise Immunity, and even in their youth, they are easily keeping the germs at bay and the city in peace. Osmosis, who is now Mayor, watches his children protect the city with his wife Leah by his side. The kiss and the screen fades to black.

The end.
